MVF-1A vertical universal friction and wear testing machine operates under a specified contact pressure and supports friction in the form of rolling, sliding, or combined rolling-sliding motions. It features a smooth speed regulation system, allowing tests to be conducted at very low to high speeds.

This machine is designed to evaluate the friction and wear performance of lubricants and materials such as metals, plastics, coatings, rubber, and ceramics. Its capabilities include:

Low-speed pin-disc friction tests (with options for large and small discs, single or triple pins)
Long-duration four-ball wear resistance tests
Four-ball rolling contact fatigue tests
Ball–bronze three-piece lubrication performance tests
Tests for thrust washers, ball-disc interactions, slurry wear, and the sealing lip torque and stick-slip friction characteristics of rubber seals.

When paired with a reciprocating module, it can also perform reciprocating friction and wear tests.

This testing machine has broad applications across various tribology fields, including petrochemicals, machinery, energy, metallurgy, aerospace, as well as universities and research institutes. The equipment complies with ASTM standards D-2266, D-3702, D-4172, and G-99.
